Okay, it was a little scary of a cut. The top was a book-match. The inside of the log was sawn and later carved to a texture as if a beaver had cleaned it out for me. The wood from inside was fashioned into the cradle that holds the bench. A small donut shaped rock, found on the seashore, holds the door open and directs the cord into the box when the lid closed.
